The year is 1960. The “Lake Ontario Shore Railroad”, also known as “The Hojack”, was the remnants of a branch of the Rome, Watertown, and Ogdensburg Railroad (RW&O), Ontario Division, having been built from Richland, NY to the suspension bridge at Niagara Falls, NY. The Hojack served primarily farming communities along the way, with connections to the ERIE RR (ex Lackawanna), and the NYO&W RR in Oswego, NY, and the PRR in Wallington, NY, and is now part of the NYC RR, Rochester Division. The Hojack is a 140’ around the wall HO scale switching layout, with 3 staging yards, 10 switching areas, and interchanges with all the railroads mentioned above, and is 75% sceniced. The railroad uses NCE with WiFi and plug in throttles, and operates with Car Card and Train Orders. A Time Table is being developed for future Ops. A numbered souvenir pass will be issued to each visitor, and will be required for entry.
