Mike had planned something different for this location, but was so taken by this nearby cranberry barn, that he had to find a place to include it on his On30 layout. It combines elements from two different prototypes. Unusual for a scratch-built structure, this model uses many different and unusual construction methods and materials. This clinic will discuss the prototype’s history, Mike’s repurposing, and its adaption to the space on his layout. Detailed construction photos will illustrate the progression of construction, with an emphasis on the unusual design and construction problems that had to be solved along the way. This is a new clinic which will be presented for the first time at the 2025 Concord Flier NER convention.
