The HO scale Ossipee Valley Railroad is a multi-deck design occupying an 11’ X 12’ space in John’s basement. John will explain his conception and design of the OVRR, give a brief tour of the layout, and provide specific scenery techniques that bring the scenes to life on a narrow shelf layout. Topics include creating realistic backdrops including painting the sky and clouds, adding/editing backdrop photos and blending the backdrop into the foreground. John will also show how he created a waterfall scene and explain carving cliff faces from extruded polystyrene foam board.
