John will be covering tips and techniques on doing prototype research on both entire railroads and individual structures or scenes. He will discuss general concepts of how to start in a research projects from researching a actual railroad all the way down to researching a particular industry and he will illustrate these ideas with an actual example of a project he is working on. The goal of the presentation is to show that with a little determination and elbow grease, anyone can get into prototype modeling or even just learn about different railroads and industries.
