Bob’s layout, based on the late steam era, models the Boston and Maine RR, from Manchester yard, through Portsmouth, and then to Portland Maine. The scenes modeled include the coal receiving facilities in Newburyport, Mass., covered bridge in Rockingham Junction, the Portland Grand Trunk grain elevator, and the Portland waterfront. Trains run on a digital control system, with 3 scale miles of mainline.
