This clinic will explore the entire length of the Bristol Branch of the Boston and Maine Railroad that ran from Franklin NH to Bristol NH, where it ended rather abruptly. A short line you can model that ran along the Pemigewasset River for most of its length. We will look at the unique structures of the line, what type of traffic it handled, what a mica mine was, and some great stories of railroading in the first half of the 20th century. A nice little branch line that can inspire your own railroad plans.
