The layout is based on CP Rail’s Vermont operations between Orleans and Richford, VT. It also includes some of B&M’s operations along the north end of the Connecticut River Line as well as Central Vermont’s Richford branch which interchanges with CP Rail at Richford, VT. Scenery is about 80 percent complete on the 28 by 32 feet layout. All the rolling stock and locomotives are realistically weathered, and structures are scratchbuilt from photographs of the actual prototypes. Backdrop petitions are built into the layout to divide scenes into prototype locations and enhance the railfan photography perspective on the walk around layout. The locomotives are equipped with Loksound sound decoders and generally replicate CP Rail operations as they were in 1980.
