All Mini Clinics will be held in the Reflections Dining  Room

The Convention will be offering a series of eight informal Mini Clinics on Thursday afternoon in one hour blocks. Each block will run twice. All clinics will run simultaneously for one hour, allowing participants to attend all four clinics per session..

The first block will run from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm. The second will run from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm- 6:00 pm.

Each 15 – 20 minute Mini Clinic will present one practical technique. Four tables will be set up around the room, allowing participants to interact with the clinician in a very relaxed setting. It’s a great opportunity to learn a few new skills.

Portable workbench – Steve Erickson

No room for a permanent workbench? A small, portable workbench is the solution. This mini clinic will show how you can model in a small space. Perfect for apartments, retirees, and folks that do not have much spread out room. We will discuss the best compact tools and storage systems to use for keeping everything you need to work on a project close at hand. The entire project can be assembled in an hour or two with a few basic tools and a short trip to your local Home Depot or Lowe’s.

Soldering – James van Bokkelen

James will demonstrate some basics of soldering.

A better way to install a Tortoise machine – Ed O’Rourke

Wire Trees – Paul Stamp

Puff Ball Trees can fill the gap for a forest seen at long distances, super trees look great in groups up close, but what about a tree standing alone in the center of town? when you want to put a tree on full display, the best option is always undoubtedly a hyper realistic Wireworm tree!
